Percussionist and electro-acousstique artist locating in Paris France, Kexin Li has studied in the most notorious music institutes through out the world. The Juilliard Pre-college under the recommendation of Daniel Druckman in 2013, Sabian / Zilgian Memorial Scholarship and The President Scholarship recipient at Manhattan School of Music 2014-2018 studied with Chris Lamb, Duncan Patton and She-e Wu, and Haute École de Musique de Genève 2018 - 2021 studying with Philippe Spiesser, Delannoy Christophe and Françoise Desforges. Her many accomplishments include the 2016 Great Plains marimba competition Fifth place, The 2020 PASIC CHINA Marimba Competition Soloist Level Second place and live-streamed recital with over 100,000 audiences. Her study focuses on collaborative contemporary music concerts, which intend discover the factors of human senses and their relations to the perception of music performances. An active innovative musician, Kexin has premiered many percussion solos in New York. Among them, the premiering performance of vibraphone solo, “Nachspie(ge)l im Nachspie(ge)l”, as part of the contemporary opera, “Simulacrum”, was described as “Kexin Li’s performance on the vibraphone was an event in itself…” by Schmopera in 2018.
